Final attempt/oppinion

Last time, I ran out of food and energy constantly. This time, I'm only going to make my needs for a while and make 2 bio-domes and plenty of energy things.

1. Built an oxygen generator.
2. Built a solar panel.
3. Built a water extractor.
4. Built a power collector.
5. Built an airlock.
6. Built a canteen.
7. Built 2 wind turbines.
8. Built a mine.
9. Built a bio-dome.
10. Built a processing plant.
11. Built another bio-dome.
12. Built a dorm.
13. Built a storage room.
14. Built a landing pad.
15. Built a water tank.
16. Built a sick bay.
17. Built another oxygen generator.
18. Built another airlock.
19. Tried to build another water extractor.
20. Built another mine.
...and I'm still alive. A couple problems I had with this round was that I kept running out of energy, water, food, and air. I tried making multiples of these, but it still didn't work. At least this time none of my people died. This is a big trial-and-error game. It will take you some time to figure it out. Overall, it's not a bad game. It's not good, but it's also not bad. I wouldn't exactly recommend it to anyone. It's too hard to understand. If there was a way to figure out what I doing wrong, then that would be nice. Also if there wasn't so much you had to do at the very beginning then I think it would make the game much better. All the creator has to do is make the first world a tiny bit easier and this game would be a lot better.

2nd attempt

Here's what I did in the order i did them... again.

1. Built oxygen generator.
2. Built a solar panel.
3. Built a water extractor.
4. Built a power collector.
5. Built a wind turbine.
6. Built an airlock.
7. Built a canteen.
8. Built a bio-dome.
9. Built a mine.
10. Built a dorm.
11. Built a processing plant.
12. Recycled the ship.
13. Built a landing pad.
14. Traded my metal for meat.
15. Built another wind turbine for more power.
16. Built a lab.
17. Tried to build another mine.
18.Tried to build a control center.
19. Tried to build a sick bay.
20. Tried to build another airlock.
21.. traded for food. I was low for a long time.
22.. Tried to build another solar panel For even more power.
23. Everyone died.

At least this time, I figured out how to make food.
For some reason, I was always low on food and power, no matter how hard I tried. Also, 2 of my workers died because I accidentally locked them out of my facility. this was also the reason for no one seeming to work. I locked the only airlock I had closed. I don't know what I did wrong this time. My tip for you is to possibly not even play this game. It's too hard to understand and to figure out. I get that it's suppose to be hard, but I think they made it too hard. If you can't even beat the first world, then there's a HUGE problem. I don't recommend this game to anyone, unless you have a degree in engineering.. or something like that. Whatever, you have to be really smart to play this game.

THE PLAN!

A HUGE problem I had playing this game was that no one seemed to want to eat. Today, I'm going to do the same thing I did before but after I make the Bio-dome, I'm going to ask a friend what I'm suppose to do, so that my people will actually eat.

My first try playing

What I'm about to show you are the things I decided to do in the game in the order I did them in.
I chose to have my base there because I thought it might be cool.^

1. Built an oxygen maker, so I can breathe.
2. Built a solar panel to power all of my things.
3. Built a water detractor to power the oxygen maker and give water to my people.
4. Built a wind turbine for even more power.
5. Built an airlock, so my people could go inside my base.
6. Built a power collector for when It becomes night and my solar panel won't work.
7.Built a canteen for people to eat and drink at.
8. Built a mine to get resources.
9. Built a bio-dome to produce food.
10. built a dorm, so my people could sleep.
11. Built a processing plant to turn ore into metal.
12. Built a lab, so I could make herbs.
13.Built a landing pad, so other people could join.
14. Built another airlock as a shortcut to the processing plant.
15. Built a sick bay to cure anyone who gets sick.
16. Everyone died. I'm not even quite sure why. There was plenty of food but for some reason, no one would eat. EVERYONE died of starvation.

My tip for anyone reading this is to play through the tutorial and make sure you remember and understand EVERYTHING. You'll need to. Also, you don't need to worry about sandstorms that much. To me it looked like they didn't do anything bad.

The tutorial

The first thing you want to do is create a way to make oxygen. You can't breathe without it. Once you build the oxygen creator, you'll need to find a way to power it. You'll need both Electricity and water. After you build them, you'll need to connect them all together. To do this, you'll have to click on both of the structures, then click the link image. After you do that, you'll need to make an entrance, that way the people can get to the air. This is also the only way they can get in by the way, so you'll want to make several of these.

There are 2 different ways to get electricity; With solar panels and  wind turbines. You'll need both of them, for each of them will only work at certain times. After that, You'll need to make a way to store your energy, just in case none of your energy producers don't want to work. Next, you'll need to make a structure that makes food. People do have to eat after all. You'll also need to make a place for your people to sleep. You'll also need a place for your people to eat.

You don't have all the resources in the world though, so you're going to have to make a mine to get some of the resources. After that, you'll need to make a structure to turn the ore that you get from mining into metal. Don't forget to add the equipment you need inside the structures. After you do that, you'll have to recycle the ship you used to land on the planet. Why? So you can get even more resources!

You can also speed up time, so all of your structures can get built faster. It does still take some time to build things, so be patient. Also you can build all of your structures different sizes, but beware, the bigger the room, the more resources it uses up.

After that, you'll also need to make a hospital for when your people get injured. There are asteroids after all! After that, you'll want to make a landing pad, so you can get more people in your base to help out with things.

The last thing I want to tell you is that if you press the "Page Down" button on the main menu, it will change the background. This is just a little Easter egg the creator added into the game. I think it's neat.

My first impressions on Planet Base

This game seems to be about a colony of people going to a planet with no life on it, like mars, and make the planet a home. You seem to want to invite more and more people into your city and keep on growing it, Just like the Sim City games. There's even natural disasters that can destroy your city. You want to build resources, like food and energy in this game to survive also. You want to make sure no one dies. The more people you have, the better the game is... I think.

Video
I just watched a video on how to play the game and it seems a little bit hard to understand. I didn't know what half of the things he was saying were or how they were important, but there seemed to be a dictionary-like thing in the game anyways so if you're new to the game, you should be able to learn a lot quite quickly. You seem to have to watch out for a lot of things in this game like; What the people want, how the robots are doing, how much supplies you have, and weather-or-not a natural disaster is coming or not.

There seem to be goals in the game. Sadly, most of them look like only short term ones. Which means you'll most likely only be playing on your planet for a short time.

This game seems good, but the whole point of why we are doing what we're suppose to be doing confuses me. Why are we on this planet?
